About the Artist

Based in the Cotswolds since graduating with a BA (Hons) in Fine Art from University of Wales Aberystwyth in 2002, I am currently working both as an Archaeological Illustrator and a freelance artist/web-designer.

A keen rider and a lucky owner of two horses (an arthritic ex-racehorse and now a young welsh cob X mare from Parys Horses), I am just setting out on the path of Dressage competition.

Inspired by many great artists, I particularly appreciate the work of Euan Uglow, Lucian Freud, Oskar Kokoschka and the magnificent portrait artist Velázquez. Many other artists have been influential in the development of my unique style and expression.

Ongoing projects include the challenge of portraying the moving horse within the static confines of a canvas, and a study of the Cotswold landscape. I am also a keen web-designer and am constantly seeking to expand my knowledge of this ever-evolving subject.
